Pet care experience
I am hardworking, trustworthy, and very patient. I am flexible and will work as hard as I can to meet your schedule but I do work full time at a pet shelter! I work from 8-6pm on I am very experienced in animal care and can handle all sizes and temperaments. I am also experienced in giving medication both orally and as injections. I love all animals, and I am capable of taking care of all our animal family members. I know that allowing a stranger taking care of your loved pet is hard and I will try my best to alleviate any fears. I truly hope that you will allow me into your home to meet and take care of your pets; I guarantee that I will treat them as if they are my own—along with any of your personal rules, of course!
Reviews
Wonderful as always! We have 5 animals and they are not the easiest. Rachel always goes above and beyond. We are so lucky to have her help us. The animals love her. ☺️
Rachel has been such a wonderful, reliable caretaker for our cats time & time again.
Thanks for taking care of Dudu again
Rachel did a fantastic job watching Pippa. She was attentive and sent great photos from her stay! Would definitely recommend!

In the home I try to go by whatever the pet wants or needs. If they have high energy it is play time, if theg want cuddles thats what they get, and if they need time to trust me that is also what I will give.
Information Rachel H. would like to know about your pet
I will need to know if the dog is negatively reactive to anything we might encounter. I will avoid anything that might upset them (people, other dogs, etc.). I will also want to know if there are any physical limitations I should know about before going out.
A typical day
We will typically explore the neighborhood and allow the dog to have a leisurely stroll. I will try to find any parks nearby or large fields so we can run around and play a little during the walk.

Availability
I do have a full time job at an animal shelter. I typically work from 8am-6pm but sometimes things happen and I leave later, so I may not always be available at specific times. However, if it does fit into my schedule I go typically before work or after work and make sure to give plenty of time and attention to any pet I take care of. I only do drop in visits now, but I will make sure your pets are safely inside the home when I leave. I also have a cat who loves to try and escape to I am very experienced at making sure animals don't get out the door without permission.
