The Pawfect Animal Caregiver

Pet care experience

I have taken care of dogs since I was young. I currently volunteer at an animal sanctuary and a rescue group; and I also work at a dog day care/boarding facility. I have experience in bathing, training, giving medicine, puppy and senior care. I have also worked with cats, bunnies, reptiles, horses, and I used to have my family owned cows growing up! So really whatever animal you have, I can take care of it! I am currently working part-time during the day. So I can do evenings, nights and weekends, other than Wednesday's between 5 PM-10 PM. I am also available overnights. I currently have two very friendly dogs; a boy and a girl. I do not have a fenced in yard, however, my dogs are trained to stay within the yard boundaries. We go on walks daily and are very playful. I make sure to treat other people's pets like my own. My kids (dogs) get bathed frequently and their teeth brushed couple times a week. My kids love to go for car rides, too! I am a very clean person, so I always leave the area cleaner than how I arrived!

Rachel was everything she describes in her profile and more. I can be a nervous Nelly and my doggo is a ball of energy, and Rachel was a great support to both of us! In just 3 days, she was able to work with him on leash behavior and create a safe space for healthy play for him with her pups. She really went above and beyond and even trimmed his nails because I told her it was something I had trouble doing. She sent a bunch of great pictures and videos, so I could see how well my pup was doing, and kept me in the loop with their activities throughout the weekend. Not only was she amazing with my fur kid, but she was incredible with the house. She absolutely left it MUCH cleaner than she found it, and it was wonderful to come home after 2 flights and a crazy work weekend to an immaculately clean house (she even magically fixed the vacuum!), and a happy/sleepy doggo. I will absolutely be looking for any opportunity for Rachel to spend time with my pup in the future, and I think any dogs that have a chance to hang out with Rachel and her crew are very lucky indeed!

Rachel is the absolute best! I found her here on Rover, as no one else was able to find time to petsit my zoo of animals. This was a last minute booking and she was able to do it! She took care of 8+ of my animals efficiently, and she cleaned the house (the animals’ messes) every day. She was the best with my German Shepherd mix and brought him on walks to his favorite places almost every single day of the booking (five days). She went out of her way to get some cans of food, as my dogs didn’t like the cans I bought for them. She spoiled the animals and really got to connect with each and every one of them. She gave my dog company and attention every single day! This was my first time leaving my animals for this long, and she definitely relieved my anxiety as I knew she was the perfect match. She also wrote a note for us reviewing how the stay was with all of the animals, as well as some general statements on how the animals behaved. We will definitely be using her again for petsitting, and we will also be referring her to others :). Thank you so much Rachel!

Rachel was beyond responsible during her overnight with my dog. An unexpected emergency came up in my building and she took care of my dog without hesitation and kept me informed the entire time. I would highly recommend her to anyone for sitting and walks as she is trustworthy and so clearly loves animals.

My OE bulldogge,Z, had his first stay with Rachel and I could t be happier about it. Rachel was very much in communication with me from our meet and greet right through when I picked him up. Side benefit, Rachel sends great pics of the dogs!

A typical day

I think dogs need a lot of mental and physical stimulation. They’ll receive this through walks around the neighborhood, sniffing in the backyard, and playing with my dogs and I. We love to walk around our house, but we also love to go for hikes!
