Loving, caring, and excited to play
Pet care experience
My grandparents used to own a dog kennel for over 10 years! Whenever we visited we always got to play with the dogs and cats. They taught me how to notice when animals were getting anxious versus when they were ready to have fun and play. For the last few years I have house sat for a family with 2 cats and a very large dog. I love pets and would be willing to play, watch, or walk them!
Reviews
Rachel is wonderful! We booked her for schedule walks for our big (63lbs), strong (staffy mix) boy after the birth of our son. She is punctual, friendly, and confident. He is not the best leash trained guy and she handles him easily. I would recommend Rachel for any of your pet sitting/walking needs. 5 stars!
Highly recommend Rachel - friendly, trustworthy, reliable and punctual. Rachel stayed with our dog for 2 weeks while we were unexpectedly away. Came home to a happy dog and a clean house!
I have a variety of animals and work in the veterinary field. To say that I have incredibly high expectations in regards to the care of my animals when I am away is an understatement. Rachel G has taken care of my pets for many years. Everything from when I have been away for days at a time or just for the midday day bathroom break of my beloved dog. She is patient, reliable, responsible, follows all of the ridiculous directions I leave when I am going away down to the letter and of course my pets all adore her. I could sing her praises for pages and pages but basically anyone who has her pet sit should consider themselves lucky to have her. I trust her 100% with my home, pets and my child!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to allow pets into my home because I still live with my parents. But, my family owns a Rhodesian Ridgeback, who is a large and protective dog. He loves to go on walks and sometimes gets very excited when other dogs pass us. Usually he will bark and pull the leash (he is very strong) so I am used to working with dogs that may not have the best walking manners. I love being outside and exploring new places so your pets will be able to explore all types of new trails and adventures.
Information Rachel G. would like to know about your pet
I do not have a breed preference! I guess I would like to know 1) how the dog normally behaves, 2) if the dog is afraid of anything, 3) if the dog is used to any routines/has any specific training when it comes to walking, and of course, 4) what is the dogs favorite activity or toy to play with!
A typical day
I love finding new places to walk - especially in the woods! If there are any trails nearby I would definitely take a stroll down those. If your dog likes having playdates, maybe we could find a dog park to go to as well. My dog at home is older and is not as ready to go fetch a tennis ball anymore - so we have plenty of excess toys around the house that I could bring to play as well.

Right now, I work a variety of jobs that gives me time flexibility. I babysit 2-3 days a week, usually Monday - Wednesday which leaves me pretty open on Thursday-Sunday. I’m a lake host near where I live but I usually only work 5 hours every weekend. I also am an InstaCart shopper, but I get to chose my hours.
