Pet care experience
Animals are my passion, cats in particular. I have 3 cats and one medium sized dog with a very high energy level. I have experience volunteering and working in a humane society with dogs as well as cats. I have experience administering medication, treating minor wounds, and handling dogs with high prey drives and low tolerance for other creatures. Dog breeds that are considered aggressive are not a problem: I have worked with "bully" breeds that do not do well with other dogs and have low tolerance levels. When I'm with your dog, I will give him/her all of my attention and focus. When working with a dog, I am dedicated to giving that dog the the care that best fits his/her needs. I have experience with cats of all ages and temperaments and have previously fostered and worked on socialization.

We love our 3 dogs like children and wouldn’t trust them with just anyone. Rachel is a true animal lover who is patient and enjoys taking care of and spending time with our dogs. Our older dog can be quite finicky about the weather, his food and most things in general, but Rachel knows how to meet his needs and keep him happy. Our middle dog and puppy bring their own uniqueness and there is never any concern that they will not be handled with the same love and affection that we give them while they are in her care. Whether just out for a long walk when I have a day full of conference calls or a week away, Rachel is our go to! She’s reliable, responsible, friendly, and knows how to manage dogs with varying personalities and temperaments.

No specific breed preferences, although I do prefer larger dogs. I would like to know a dogs basic temperament and how he/she acts and reacts around other animals.
A typical day
We can go on walks around your neighborhood, or head out to a nearby park or trail. We can walk or run, depending on what your dog prefers. If your dog is older or more laid back, we can sit together and cuddle. Dogs who like to be brushed can be brushed as much as they want, dogs who want to sit on laps are great, and dogs who want to play with toys are the best!
