I'm a homebody who works from home, and I LOVE visiting doggies! My flexible schedule gets adapted to your pup's normal routines. LOTS of walks, playtimes, fun training sessions, and serious snuggling make up our days together. Favorite games: fetch, tug, hide & seek, practicing our sit/stay/come for treats! I provide meticulous care and loving company for pups and kits in your home if you live between Albion and Thorndale and Clark and the lake. I'm a mature, responsible, detail-oriented, loving, kind and patient care-giver. I have completed several sessions of Obedience classes, as well as Agility and NoseWork, and am a constant student of animal behavior and health. A "safety hound", I strive to make the most conservative choice in all matters of preventive safety. Especially in tune with the gentle care needs of elderly pets. A confident leader of strong dogs and a comfort to nervous dogs. Been loved by a grouchy, nippy dog who would not allow most people near him. My focus is on the happy comfort of your pups and enjoying their special company. I'm also great with houseplants, your garden (certified horticulturist), mail, cleaning, and any other vacation care you may need. Why I love dog sitting I grew up with (and adoring) a 120-pound Newf/Husky mix (+cats), and since then have lived with a Lab mix, GSD mix, drooling Bloodhound, brilliant Border Collie mix, and been Auntie to Ridgeback/Pit mix, a Wheaton terrier, a Dobie, a Beagle/Pit, an Aussie, and finally to a little Dachshund mix with a huge personality! As an apartment dweller, I'm serious about walks, which are minimum half an hour, sometimes more than an hour, 3-4 times per day depending on your dog's usual schedule. These can include jogging if you'd like more exercise for your dog, or can be long strolls on the beach nearby. Obviously walks are adjusted for seniors, puppies, or in weather extremes. Indoors we have play sessions of tug, ball, and sit, stay, come for treats, AND the favorite hide and seek: sit, stay (when I go hide), then come find me for a treat!!
