Hello! My name is Rachel and I have been a licensed veterinary technician (easy way to explain is basically an animal nurse) for 10.5 years. Growing up on a farm, I knew I always wanted to work with animals. After getting my vet tech degree and license, I worked in a small and large animal hospital for 5 years where I helped with appointments, emergencies, client education, etc. while occasionally helping with the pet boarding facility. I have experience with medicating both dogs and cats as well as a relaxed attitude to help with calming nervous pets. After the animal hospital, I switched to working in the zoo field where I still need to keep a cool head when working with difficult animals. Not only do I have experience with dog and cats, but also exotics such as reptiles, birds, and rodents. I’m willing to pet sit almost any animal as long as we discuss their care. I currently have a full time job (Sunday-Thursday), but am willing to schedule day visits around my lunch hour. This year has been difficult for everyone and I’m looking to make a little extra cash to help pay bills. Plus, I just love making new animal friends!
