Professionally Experienced Dog Care

Pet care experience

I want to be your fur baby's best buddy! Know that my excellent experience and love of all animals makes me the perfect walker/sitter for your furry family member. I have two years experience working at dog daycares and four years experience as an entrepreneurial dog caretaker. I have worked with many different types, temperaments, and breeds of dogs. I have a silly mutt rescued from Mexico named Aruga (Rugi) who is my dog soul mate! As an owner I understand your dogs are your babies, best friends, and your family. All dogs I take care of I also see as my own and would do absolutely anything for them. For walks you can request to have me walk your pup in your neighborhood, or we can go on an adventure to a park or dog park! If it's too cold (under 10°for safety reasons) we also have the option of walking inside at a petstore or Home Depot. Many of my clients love it! When boarding, your dog will get plenty of playtime with me, my partner, Kenny, and my dog, Aruga! Your dog will always get at least one walk a day when staying with me. We often go to parks or dog parks as well! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me! Your fur babies are in good hands.

Rachel is an expert in caring for dogs. She is dependable, fun, and creative. She goes above and beyond to make times with our dog fun. Rachael has often taken our dog Amber for walks outside, and found safe warm ways to play and explore when the weather is too cold. She has also cared for her multiple days when we have been out of town. Amber is our first pet. Rachel has been happy to answer our questions and offer advice in a kind non judgmental way. We are so thankful for her competent and trustworthy caregiving.

Rachel is a born animal lover. I've known her for over three years when she started walking our one year old Bichon/poodle Ollie, aka: the "son we never had." From day one Ollie's strong personality with selective hearing never deterred Rachel from keeping him safe and in-line with clear instructions and lots of positive reinforcement. When we say her name at home he leaps to the glass door and squeals with excitement as she approaches to pick him up for his walks. Over the years we've added occasional day care along with short and long boarding sessions and he's so happy with Rachel, Kenny and their dog Rugi. I trust Rachel with Ollie and know that she has his health and safety as primary and if something has ever happened that she didn't expect, she's quick to remedy it and is always truthful with me about the details. Rachel loves dogs and they know it. You won't be disappointed having her as a caretaker of your furry friend.

Rachel is the must loving and caring human when it came to caring for my sweet boy, Midi. Rachel was Midi's daily walker (Monday-Friday), daycare on my long work days, and overnight sitter when I was out of town. Not only did Rachel walk my dog, but perform additional training when needed, helped me with my questions as Midi was my first puppy, and when she "walked" him, it was a complete adventure from hiking, swimming and playing fetch. Highly recommend.

Rachel walked and boarded my dog Sammy for about 2.5 years until we relocated. I found her to be extremely dependable, a good communicator and overall the best dog person we could have hoped for. She showed up without fail. Sam loved her. I enjoyed working with her. I would recommend Rachel without any reservation at all. You will be lucky to have her as your dog person, too!

Information Rachel F. would like to know about your pet

I never have breed preferences. I have experience with any bully-breeds as well as very large dogs and very small ones. I like to know if a dog has any aggressive behaviors and how to best deal with any behaviors like excessive barking, intense anxiety, destructive behavior, etc... Please tell me if they are kennel-trained or not so I can make sure they are comfortable. If your dog has any food allergies please let me know! I love giving your dogs treats so let me know what is best or if they are on a diet. I would also prefer to be made aware of any medical issues or medications I might need to administer. I want to make sure all doggie family members can be taken care of safely. If something like injecting medications or any special needs are a factor and you feel like I would be right for your pup, give me a run-through of how best to care for your dog and I will provide it with excellent understanding.

I love play-time with your pets and of course snuggles are the best! Your canine companion will get optimum amounts of play-time and love with me in the best environment suited to them. For dog walking I am happy to provide as long a walk as you would like your doggy to have whether it be ten minutes or two hours. I love to bring dogs on walks in different environments to give them the most satisfaction. I always make sure that the environment is well suited to them. Some dogs find lots of enjoyment in a park with sidewalks, others are very at home on a walk in the woods while others might feel best on a simple neighborhood walk. When going on walks with your special friend I make sure they are safe and well-cared for; making sure to avoid plants that may harm your pet (poison ivy, burrs, tall grass w/ticks) and any strange items that generally are seen that might provide risk. I always carry a collapsible water bowl and water bottle to keep your pet hydrated. Rest assured, I keep a close eye and make sure your dog is safe in the environment they are suited for. You can always tell me your preference as well! I like to bring dogs to the dog park to give them some great play time with other dogs and many dogs enjoy this play time too. I like to provide entertainment for furry friends depending on their individual personalities and preferences so when I meet your pooch, I get to know them and give them a personalized plan. Some dogs prefer a more relaxed routine while others prefer some real interactive play and I can provide both of those. Each dog-sitting visit is at the minimum 30 minutes and I always make sure to check the entire house for any disruptions. Your dog gets cuddles each visit as well as at least one walk a day. The last visit of the day or just before bed time (depending on whether they are boarding or check-ins) your pooch will receive one of my home-made pup-cups which have multiple layers of frozen broth-flavored yogurt and peanut butter topped with a milk bone. This is my specialty and dogs love them!
