Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals of all sorts since I was about 6 years old. I have taken care of dogs ranging in size, age, and temperament from a senior Chihuahua to a young Belgian Malinois. I have experience house sitting homes with up to 3 dogs, two cats, and a whole lot of fish. I love going on long walks and hikes, and nothing beats spending time outside with a dog! My sweet girl is leash/dog reactive, so I have a lot of experience working with reactivity.

Rachel is an exceptional pet caregiver. We have 3 dogs, 2 cats, fresh and saltwater fish, and a turtle. Rachel is reliable, and prompt, and has cared for everyone on several occasions, both daily visits and extended house sitting. All of our pets love her. She cares for them as if they were her own.

I always keep animal safety in mind when caring for pets. I confirm pet allergies/medications with their parents, and I keep pets on the same training regimen if needed because I know how important it is that training, feeding, and medications remain consistent. I have experience caring for reactive dogs, including positive training, de-escalation, and muzzling. I want all pets to feel safe and comfortable with me and I understand that may sometimes take a few tries- I will never force a pet into a stressful situation for them.
