Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs for more than 20 years, including family and friend's dogs, my own dogs, and 4.5 years of volunteering at City Dogs Cleveland, where I spend 4-10 hours per week walking shelter dogs! I have experience walking large dogs who aren't super great on a leash (I use a waist leash for my girl). I also have experience with dogs who can be reactive to other dogs, so I'm not thrown off by this behavior and am happy to walk these dogs.

Rachel is a huge dog lover and has a ton of experience handling dogs of all sizes and personalities. For over five years she has been a dedicated volunteer with City Dogs Cleveland. She walks dogs at the Cleveland Kennel every week and also has two wonderful dogs of her own at home. She cares deeply about all of the dogs at the kennel providing them with exercise, enrichment, comfort, and love. I have volunteered with Rachel for years at City Dogs and know that she is a proficient dog handler and a compassionate individual.
I've watched Rachel care for her own dogs as well as all the dogs at the cleveland city kennel and she truly has a passion for animals. She treats every dog as if it's her own.

I would need to know the temperament of the dog ahead of time. How do they walk, how do they respond to seeing other dogs, do they enjoy toys, do they like to snuggle or are they more independent, etc?
A typical day
I love walking, snuggling and playing with toys with all dogs. If you are close to my house, I would be happy to walk them to my fenced in backyard if they would enjoy some off leash time.
