Pet care experience
I joined Rover because I love animals and want to take care of them. I have worked at an animal hospital, a boarding and training center in Chicago, and have volunteered at a cat shelter. I am looking to go to Veterinary school in the future and I am very interested in animal behavior. I love learning about the different behaviors and personalities of animals! In my free time I go on runs, play sports, or spend time outside by Lake Michigan. I try to run daily and do other activities after work or on weekends. I can definitely bring your dog with me! If I can find good trails to go on around Chicago I am able take your dog on hikes. I am available at a moment’s notice when I’m pet sitting. I will be ready to answer my phone if you have a last-minute change of plans or if you just need to get in contact with me. I want to answer any questions you have as soon as possible! I also have experience with cats, dogs, hamsters, turtles, and rabbits. I would be happy to care for any of our pets! I cannot wait to get to know your pet! Nothing makes me happier in life than animals, so what more would I want than taking care of them on Rover? :)

I could never thank Rachel enough. She took a very good care of our cat Roquette during her drop-in visits and home sitting. She sent us pictures and videos. She was very reactive when we exchanged messages, I highly recommend her!

Information Rachel D. would like to know about your pet
I would like to have a meet and greet with all of my clients before the first stay. I would like learn your dog’s likes and dislikes, such as where they like to be scratched, if they have a favorite toy, and if they like long walks or are more of a couch potato. It would also be good to know if they have sensitive areas or destroying tendencies. Is your dog aggressive with food, toys, people, dogs, or other animals? I have no breed preferences whatsoever and love dogs of all sizes!
A typical day
I will cater my walks and playtime to whatever your dog likes to do most. I enjoy going to parks, but most likely would like to take your pup on a walk by the lake. I am also a runner, so if your dog is up for it I would love to take them on a run! I work in Rosemont from 6:30am to 3pm, Monday through Friday I will feed your pup and take them out before work, and I will take them out immediately when I get home. After work I can take them for out a nice long walk or extended play session, or I can just hang out with them at my home! I usually go to bed around 9 or 10pm, so your dog would go to bed around that time as well.
