Pet care experience
I have over two years of experience volunteering with the Greenhill Humane Society providing care for rabbits and dogs, but my passion lies with dogs. Currently I am a Tier 2 Dog Enrichment Professional at Greenhill, meaning I have taken multiple courses in dog behavior and fear free training. I also have a dog of my own, and have cared for animals of all types including mice, rabbits, insects, goats, chickens and amphibians. This gives me a thorough understanding of how the details of care vary from creature to creature. Since I grew up raised by a parent who was a dog trainer, with multiple dogs in my childhood home, caring for and training dogs comes naturally to me. I can't wait to meet your friend!

When going for walks, I don't like to follow the same old path time and again. I like to take new turns and find new places to go, and that is what I will do when walking your pup! We will share in a sense of discovery that will keep your friend excited every time they see me walk in the door. For drop ins, I will enjoy spending time with your friend doing whatever they like to do best! For those that like to play and frolic, I will spend time romping around the yard with them. For more laid back friends, I will keep them company and give them all the love they need to make my visit a highlight of their day.

Every pup has unique and different needs! I know how it feels leaving your pet in the hands of another person and wanting them receive the same quality of care as they would with you. I pay close attention to care instructions and make sure to send messages and photos so you can rest easy knowing your friend is in good hands. All breed types and personalities are embraced. If your dog is reactive in any way I will want to know so that we can work together on a plan to ensure they feel safe and comfortable.
A typical day
Getting to know your dog's unique and special personality is my favorite part of this job! For more active dogs, I love to play tug and go on adventures to new and exciting places. For more laid back dogs, I will keep them company with lots of quality time and pets.

Availability
I work full time during the week at a non profit in town, so I am available on weekday evenings starting after 5pm and all day on weekends. Unfortunately I am not able to accommodate regularly recurring bookings at this time. I am most available on a case by case basis for intermittent sits.
