Animal Loving WFH Accountant!
Pet care experience
One of my earliest memories is hiding behind the couch with my first beloved dog, Sparky, and sharing a box of Scooby Snacks dog treats 😂 My tastes have since developed beyond dog treats, thankfully, but I still love dogs and pets of all kinds! I grew up in Nebraska with many different pets: a rabbit (Lily), a parakeet (Dante), a cat (Lucy - still with my family at 18yrs old and going strong!), and many, many dogs - all rescues with unique personalities and quirks. Having so many different pets meant learning to take on a lot of responsibility, which was definitely instilled in me early. I also learned how to be patient, respectful, and observational of animal behavior, particularly rescues, to build trust and mutual respect. It's been a few years since I moved away from home, and unfortunately, I haven't been in the right situation yet to make a commitment to being a full time pet owner again. My husband and I hope to adopt a dog in the future once we are settled permanently. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to meeting some new furry friends!

Rachel and Christian are incredible! They took phenomenal care of our dog while we were away. With lots of photos and texts sent throughout the stay, we were confident our pup was in good hands and having a wonderful time. They are both such sweet people who really took the time and effort to make sure our pup was comfortable and well cared for. Their house is beautiful and located right nearby a large park great for long walks and outside time. We will absolutely reach out to them again in the future, and are so grateful for their amazing care of our dog. Thank you so much Rachel and Christian!

My first priority is always safety. I will always do my best to respect a pet owner's wishes, while ensuring the safety and comfort of your furry friend - I know they are an important part of your life and family! We have a fenced in patio, but no yard. We are steps away from a walking path, dog park, and lovely park, however! We are open to whatever sleeping arrangements make your pet most comfortable and secure, with plenty of room to accommodate a crate if preferred. I spend most of my time at home, as we live a one car lifestyle. Any errands are usually in the evening or on the weekends, and my husband and I are more than happy to bring a furry friend along if that is your preference! Depending on the personality and needs of the animal, we would be sure to provide as much interaction, attention, and oversight as required.

While we love all dogs, unfortunately we can only accommodate dogs under 20lbs per the local HOA requirements. I don't intend to pull out a scale to check, but so long as your friend is a small breed, we are comfortable accepting them for a stay.
A typical day
My day might look very different depending on who I am watching! I know every dog has it's own needs and desires, so if your friend is looking for a walk, I'm in! If they're more of a cuddle bug, I'm also in! If they want to play fetch for ages, also in!

Availability
I work from home full-time Monday through Friday. I have the flexibility to schedule in walks and bathroom breaks as needed throughout the work week, and have no formal obligations on the weekends. During the evenings and weekends, my husband is available to help out with any care as well.
