Pet care experience
I have always had experiences with animals and pets. Pet fish, Horse camp, family/friends' pets, and even one of our own. As a family and through personal care, we have cared for our dog, Shadow, for over 12 years. I am very caring and compassionate when it comes to pets. I know how important our pets are to our family, and when they get sick it's important to administer medicine if needed. I have done this with pills for Shadow and had a steady routine for all of his needs. Walking, feeding, bathing, and playing are essential to a dog's life to make them happy and healthy!

Rachel is a great pet sitter. In June of this year (2023) she watched our two cats, plants and house- for 10 days. Ahead of time we met to go through the house and the details- she asks good, practical questions. While we were gone we kept in communication via text about any questions she had and she sent a few photos of our beloved cats and what they were up to. Our one cat has a more involved feeding schedule which Rachel managed very well- and we came home to two happy cats (and thriving plants as well). I recommend Rachel as your next pet sitter.

For taking care of your pets, I will strictly follow any routine you have. I like to have as many details as possible going into taking care of someone's pet. I've had dogs and cats with strict meal diets and plans, and timely mannered walks or play times. I understand how important a routine is for dogs/cats, including the love and companionship you have to give back.

If your dog is temperamental or likes to chew, nip, or even just ask for pets all day, please let me know. I want to do everything that I can to make sure your furry friend is comfortable. If they have any medications or instructional-dependent diets, and whether they are more carefree or on a strict schedule. I like to know all of the information before heading into a job, so I won't treat taking care of your dog any differently.
A typical day
Depending on the energy of your dog will decide what we do for the day! If you have a dog who's mellow and likes to be comfortable in its own space then we'll stay inside and lounge the day away... with stretch breaks, of course! If you have a dog who's energetic and loves to run around all day then we'll spend it outside playing fetch! If your dog likes long walks, then so be it! Short walks? That's ok, everyone has their days. I understand that our furry friends may have bad days and good days so reading their body language is something that's important to know before starting the day!

Availability
I work at a preschool with a shift that consists normally from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM. I am free and flexible in the morning and at night to take care of your furry friend. My nights are mainly open when I'm done with work. I am more than happy to work out routines and schedules into any game plan!
