Pet care experience
With skills acquired from taking care of my own dog and past pets, I have additionally watched friends’ and neighbors’ pets in their own homes for up to 3 weeks at a time. Ranging from recently adopted puppies and potty-training, to elderly dogs with attachment anxiety and medical needs, I have a wide range of familiarity with pet-sitting and walking responsibilities. For two years during the summers, I volunteered at the shelter from which my family adopted our dog as a puppy, working with various behavior training, crate cleaning and maintenance, and logging of pet development over time. From all of my experience, the most important lesson I approach new relationships with is flexibility and adaptability to pet personalities and owner preferences - I’m more than happy to get to know your dog at the pace it needs, and hope to build a great bond while relieving families of the daily stress of additional care! I hope I can help :)

Safety, trust & environment
With my current apartment complex, I would not be able to house animals overnight. But I am more than happy to take them to the local park, doggy play areas, and go for long walks in the neighborhood!
Information Rachel B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any needs to specifically attend to, is friendly with other dogs, is still being trained to walk or play, enjoys certain toys or games more than others, & more! I am happy to cater my attention to their needs!
A typical day
Before venturing out, I’ll ask the owner about specific favorite activities of energetic dogs, but I love to bring some training treats along on walks to stimulate their minds along with their physical exercise! There are some great trails & parks in the neighborhood perfectly suited for games of fetch, frisbee, or longer jogs with a dog by your side. For at home visits, I love to see what toys the dog gravitates towards and optimize the time to get their energy out & give them comfort and cuddles after a great playtime!
