Pet care experience
I have taken care of my own pets and those of friends/family since middle school. I shadowed at a veterinary clinic senior year of high school and was pre-veterinary before switching to pre-PA.
Reviews
First time using Rover and I couldn’t be more pleased. Rachel checked in on my pooch, took him for walks, and sent plenty of pics which made me feel much better about leaving my dog behind. She came by ahead of time to meet and greet and go over my dogs quirks. She is also quick to respond on the phone. Couldn’t be happier with Rachel and the updates are fantastic.
We scheduled Rachel to watch our little rat terrier/chi mix, Sophie! She came by a couple of days before to meet Sophie. Rachel was wonderful and Sophie loved her!
Rachel did a wonderful job looking after our pet. She arrived at the time prescribed and was conscientious of her duties. She messaged us using the rover app to let us know whenever she arrived and sent multiple pictures during her stay. She went above and beyond spending time with our pet and made sure to take him for a walk. When I was worried about our dog late at night during a storm she double checked on him and helped him relax during his storm anxiety. When we arrived earlier then expected she did gave my wife and I a summary of the weekend. Will certainly hire her again the next time my wife and I are out of town!
Rachel is a person that is committed to helping others and this most definitely includes helping others pets! She has worked with other dogs in the past including mine and has always done an amazing job! If it comes to making sure a dog gets plenty of exercise or even needs to be given medications Rachel is someone to count on! Overall a great pick when it comes to helping others and others furry friends!

Since I live in medical student housing, I cannot take care of pets overnight in my own home. I love taking dogs on walks, playing with toys, and giving whatever special care is needed. My family’s dog at home takes time-sensitive oral and injectable medications, and I am very comfortable giving both.

I am currently in PA school at the University of Charleston and am participating in clinical rotations. I am in Logan this semester for emergency medicine. I update my schedule frequently based on my work schedule but my schedule is very flexible! I’m a night owl and love to have furry friends to study with!
