Experienced Professional Dog Walker
Pet care experience
Hello, I'm Rachel! I am a full-time professional dog walker and pet sitter located in West Town. NEW CLIENTS: Please place first-time requests at least two weeks prior to your dog’s stay to allow enough time to schedule your meet and greet. Meet and greet is REQUIRED before confirming any first-time stay to ensure it will be a good fit. Please contact me for more information. PLEASE NOTE: Boarding rates include three walks per day, feedings, medication administration, a daily message with photo(s), and unlimited playtime/snuggles. More than three walks per day will be subject to scheduling availability and an additional fee. Please contact me for more information. I have tons of experience with a variety of breeds and personalities, including dogs displaying anxious or reactive behaviors. There is a special place in my heart for rescues, mixed breeds, and quirky dogs with hearts of gold! Shy dogs and pups that are leash reactive will be in good hands with me! I can work with your dog's specific needs to keep them happy while you're away. I am here to listen and get to know you both. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet!
Reviews
Rachel was fantastic as always! We never have any worried when our pup is staying with Rachel. Clear, easy communication and our pup never wants to leave
my dog LOVES Rachel!! and i love being able to leave Puff and know she’s so well cared for and comfortable!
Rachel is the best petsitter you could hope for. We absolutely adore her. Milo was so well taken care of and enjoyed all his long walks and adventures with Rachel.
Rachel is very professional and knows what she’s doing! I was looking for someone who could handle my dog Ruby, who is very sweet and obedient, but needs structure and space away from other dogs. Rachel wasn’t phased by my dog’s reactive and impolite behavior when I initially dropped her off. She sent me regular updates, which was reassuring. I had peace of mind not only that Ruby would stay out of trouble but also that she wouldn’t stress out her handler. Ruby and I are both lucky to have found Rachel and hope to come back again sometime!

Information Rachel B. would like to know about your pet
Please note that I do require a meet and greet with you and your dog in my home prior to booking your first stay. I have found that the meet and greet helps the dog feel much more comfortable in their temporary home and greatly reduces any stress they may feel while their family is away. I live with my partner Brian. The following information is helpful for me to know: - Drop-off and pick-up times - Frequency of potty breaks and walks - Feeding information - Vet phone number and address, as well as any medical needs - Where your dog prefers to sleep - Items you will bring such as treats, toys, poop bags, and crate (if applicable) - Type of collar or harness - Walking habits: does your dog enjoy walking? Are they leash reactive? Do they pull? Are they a fan of eating garbage? What should I know to look out for? - Any fears, anxieties, or triggers your dog may have - Behavior towards other dogs and people - Anything else that will help make your dog feel at home!
A typical day
I am fortunate to live near Humboldt Park, one of the most spectacular parks in the city, in my opinion! My apartment is on a very quiet block. There are a few dogs in the area, but we can usually avoid them.
