Pet care experience
We are a military family that has watched dogs at all of our units so far: Florida, Alaska and Hawaii! We love to care for dogs of all sizes and ages 😊 I have experience with puppies, senior dogs and dogs with separation anxiety. We can provide a loving place for your dog to stay while you’re away! We have a very friendly golden-doodle named Simba 🐶 We can go for walks as little or as much as needed to make your dog feel right at home. I allow the dogs to snuggle up on the couch with me but if your dog prefers the comfort of their crate I can accommodate that as well!

Rachel and her husband are truly amazing. Our 2 doodles are very sensitive with new people and we can always tell if they feel comfortable around other people. We have left our 2 doodles with Rachel twice. The first time was 2 nights and they came back very happy and calm. The second time was for a week (the longest we have been apart) they were happy to see us but not rushing out of Rachel’s door. It makes me feel so relieved to find someone that treats my dogs well when we are away. It can be hard to find quality care, but know Rachel will take care of your fur babies while you’re away. She is very responsive and sends pictures throughout your time away (which I look forward to) Thank you Rachel for caring for my pups. She is the only one I will trust moving forward!
We were so glad to find Rachel & Derrik. We have boarded Dart at other locations but wanted to see if having him stay at a home with a family would be more comfortable for him. Rachel was very responsive when we were booking. When we dropped him off, he was a little nervous but Derrik and the two doggies - Simba & Opal were very patient with him. They kept us updated on how he was doing and when we picked him up, he came out like he was part of the pack 😆.
Rachel and her husband are awesome sitters! They took really great care of our dog Yoshi. Rachel sent pics of Yoshi during our trip and kept us updated on Yoshi's wellbeing. Their dog Simba is very friendly as well. Thank you Rachel!

My husband and I usually work opposite schedules, so at least one of us is home most of the time. My parents stay with us often too and can provide extra belly scratches for the doggies 🐾
