Pet care experience
I’ve lived in Warrenton my whole life, and loved dogs just as long. As the daughter of a small business owner, I know the importance of working with clients, being responsible, and giving a good impression. As a dog enthusiast, I have a good basis of knowledge on behavior, the needs of different dogs, and my capability in handling them. I also have some experience with cats and small animals, and have a respect and love for them that has grown with time. I had a Shetland sheepdog from kindergarten to freshman year, I’ve dog sat for at least 5 separate people and cat sat for 1, and I currently own two leopard geckos and a betta fish. I work best with lower energy dogs, but I also have experience with stronger and higher energy breeds.

Information Rachel B. would like to know about your pet
I have a soft spot for herding dogs, pit bulls and other strong headed breeds, and mixes, but I appreciate the good qualities in all breeds. Before sitting a dog, I like to know how they’ll react to me. For instance, if it’ll take some time for them to warm up, or if I’ll need to stop them from jumping up on me. I’d also like to know when or how the owner would like me to discipline the dog, so I don’t do anything that could hurt or confuse them. Other important information would include recurring health problems and reactions to other people, dogs, or small animals we may encounter on our walks
A typical day
I tend to like walking in the neighborhood, however higher energy dogs or dogs with a zest for life I may take to places such as old town Warrenton, Rady Park, and the Warf.
