Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Rachel and I am a long-time pet lover and caretaker. Over the past 12 years I have cared for multiple pups while their families took their much needed vacations, needed to drop into work, or just for a quick walk or potty break. For cats, in addition to volunteer work at the shelter, I also have cared for cats my whole life including snuggling and pampering my furbaby Stevie (if you ever want a playdate this can be arranged as well. I know first hand how stressful it can be to worry if your pet is being taken care of and I am here to ease that stress! Any special requests? Let me know!

Rachel did an amazing job watching my little fur family for a week on short notice. She was very helpful, responsive and attentive. She even had to take one of the dogs to vet unexpectedly and did so without hesitation. Would absolutely book again in the future.

Rachel was the BEST dog sitter I've ever had, and I've had many. She was attentive to my girls' needs from start to finish, and I was able to truly relax and enjoy my vacation. My Petunia is still looking for her to come home! She even saw things that I had forgot to mention, and did what needed to be done for the dogs. She gave my Pepper her meds daily and even administered their flea/tick preventatives when they were needed. I will DEFINITELY request Rachel again and hope to be able to hire her on an ongoing basis. Thanks Rachel!!!

While I do not offer in-home care due to my lease, I have always taken the upmost precaution (making sure to properly put away and dispose of any waste, missed food, etc., provide water and food at determined and scheduled times, avoid any hazardous material such as air diffusers, take road safety precautions especially during night walks) and most importantly dedicate my full attention to your pet. I also understand that different pets have different needs and work to observe and change my style based on this. As you can see in my last few pictures I am also an auntie which has further honed not only my caretaking abilities but also my attentiveness toward safety and being aware of one's environment.

I always like to know if your dog has any special medications, mobility or dietary needs, any special requests, and most importantly how your dog typically prefers to go about the day so that I can do my best to provide that consistency and support.
A typical day
For my high energy pups I like a nice long walk (and if you're okay with it going on a hike!), playing at the park or around the backyard), and providing lots of belly rubs.

Availability
Currently I do work Mo-Fr 8-4 but am available for lunchtime care as well as morning care before 8 or after 4:30. I am also very flexible on weekends! I am very accommodating to last minute needs and prioritize the care of others in my life. Additionally, I do not mind sleepovers on weekdays as my partner is able to care for our pet as needed.
