Kind Animal Lover With Experience!
Pet care experience
I am a college graduate and young professional living in the 30A/PCB area. I have grown up with my family dogs my whole life and I recently adopted my own dog, a 1 1/2-year-old bull terrier mix. I currently work as a biologist for Florida Fish and Wildlife, was previously a Lead Animal Care Technician at Alaqua Animal Refuge, and also have 12 months of experience in Veterinary Technician schooling. In addition to my professional experience, I have also taken care of my neighbors' and friends’ pets for the past 10 years, including in 30A, whether they were out of town for a few nights or even recurring walks for multiple months. I am able to travel to wherever you are located to assist you with and take care of your fur babies! Please contact me as I would love to help you with any pet care needs you may have, and I look forward to meeting you and your pup soon!

Safety, trust & environment
The care of your animal always begins with routine! It’s very important for an animal to stick with the routine you as their owner provide them with, to ensure stability and an easy transition during the times they’re not with you! I like to find out their daily favorite things to do and also make sure to be perceptive and intuitive to how your pup is feeling that day so as to best provide the love, attention, and playtime they need!
Information Rachael W. would like to know about your pet
I think it's important to know a dog's temperament (are they calm, hyper, or in between?), their energy levels, as well as their behavior around people (adults and/or children) and other animals.
A typical day
We can go on walks wherever there's a fun path nearby. As a graduate with an Environmental Studies degree and current occupation as a shorebird biologist, I love the outdoors and think the best places to go walking are on nature paths around our local neighborhoods!

Availability
I’m currently working part-time with my availability being primarily in the early afternoon and into the evening four to five days a week, and open availability the remaining days of the week. My schedule is flexible in that I can pick which days I work each week with proper notice, so I am able to work around your needs as well!
