Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs in my life since I was born and have taken care of them all my life, with more responsibility during university when I dog sat for my family as well as some friends. I’ve taken care of puppies, as well as sick dogs (😥) and older dogs and am comfortable with dogs who are slightly more rambunctious :) I am very active and love to run (for higher energy dogs) and go for long walks and hangout at the park.

Rachael has lots of experience growing up in a house with 2 dogs of various ages over the years and numerous visiting dogs. She has experience with training puppies and energetic labradors through their teen years and caring for sick dogs. Your dog is in good hands with her years of dog walking experience and understanding of dog behaviors.
Rachael is very responsible and attentive to the dogs she cares for! She has always had dogs and is very comfortable around them. Rachael will give your dog the care they need!
Rachael is great with all animals especially dogs, she’s looked after mine before one golden and one St Bernard (80kg) so she knows how to take care of all types no matter the size. She’s very responsible and also very athletic so will have no problem going for big walks.

I am not able to host your pups in my own home as the building doesn’t allow dogs (which is sad for me) but I am very respectful of other people’s homes and keep a careful eye on all the pets I’m sitting to make sure they and your home stay safe!

Ahead of time I like to know how your dog generally is with other dogs/pets and their general behaviour/habits on walks (ie. length of walk they prefer etc). and at home so I can make sure I’m keeping an eye out for any changes in behaviour.
A typical day
I love to walk the trails in Stanley Park as well as the trails around Cleveland Dam/Capilano Regional Park. I also love to go for hikes for dog owners with higher energy pups. I also love to just hangout on the beach or park near my home in English Bay and throw a frisbee or ball for your dog.

Availability
I work part-time and very flexible hours so I am around and happy to take your dog out for a short walk or break and check in on them for longer periods and just generally give them some love!
