Your Pet's Future Best Friend
Pet care experience
For as long as I can remember, I have adored every animal I lay eyes on! I began to pursue my love for dogs and cats by starting a job at a pet boarding and daycamp facility. This job provided me with much knowledge about cat and dog care, pet handling, training, bathing, and much more. From there, I began a job as a bather and grooming apprentice before finally finding my current position as a veterinary technician. I have been a veterinary technician for over 3 years now and have learned a lot about pet health from puppies to geriatrics and obtained an animal first aid certification. My passion for animals continues to grow the more I work with them, and love when I get to spend my free time working with both cats and dogs! I have two cats of my own that I raised from 3 weeks old who I absolutely adore. Interacting with any pet brightens my day, and I can't wait to brighten theirs!
Reviews
Rachael was great with my two cats and her visit summaries were super thorough! Thanks!!
Rachael was amazing! I have a very shy cat that she was able to quickly connect with and gain trust. Would highly recommend!!
Rachael is an exceptional person to have spend time with your furry family members 😀
Rachael has been helping us with the pups as needed for some time and has been excellent. The dogs adore her and she successfully caters her attention to the needs of each dog. Highly recommend!

Safety, trust & environment
When spending time with your pet, I will strive to make them comfortable with me by going at their pace and respecting their boundaries. I have an understanding of dog and cat body language and behavior and will pickup on signs of discomfort or stress if present and do my best to help your pet feel at ease. It is important to me that your pet trusts me when I am coming into their home without you there!
Information Rachael S. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors I should anticipate. If your pet is currently working on any training (basic obedience or behavior) I would love to know which specific commands or hand signals you use so I can help reinforce them when I am with them!
A typical day
I love to play with pets in such a way that both their bodies and brains get the exercise they need! When at home for a drop in visit, I like to play games that stimulate your pets mind such as puzzle games or hide and seek! I also work to stimulate their minds while out on a walk by allowing for safe exploration, changing up pace/walking patterns to help with keeping a pet attentive and to improve leash pulling, and working with commands.
