Professional positive dog trainer!

Pet care experience

I am an Animal Behavior College certified dog trainer and have been working professionally for almost 4 years, put have been a life long lover and caretaker of dogs. I have experience in medical rescue, behavioral rehabilitation, service dog training, off leash training, family dog training, hunting dog training and puppy raising. Whatever your dogs needs and issues we will come up with a plan for me to not just walk and look after your pet but potentially even increase their obedience and listening skills while they are in my care. Safety is of the utmost concern for me for your dog and others we might see on a walk. If I find the collars leashes or harnesses I am to walk the dog on are frayed or torn, then by booking me you understand I will be using my own equipment for liability reasons.

Rachael is amazing! You can tell she knows how to navigate dogs. Mine is shy when meeting ppl for the first time but she was so good with him and he absolutely loves her and his walks with her. She’s been super reliable and I don’t have to worry at all while I’m at work when she’s with him. We love having her!

Very happy she got along with Bowie. He gets anxious when I'm not around but Racquel did a good job in handling him. Hope to use her again soon!

My original dog walker schedule changed so I was on the hunt for a trustworthy and dependable dog walker. Rachael responded timely and everything so far has been very pleasant. From the meet and greet to the dog walking, it’s nice to know that my dog is in great hands. Rachael provides detailed notes with every walk and is very communicative about scheduling and advice/tips on my dogs progress since she is still a puppy and still learning. Do not hesitate to use Rachael’s services, you won’t regret it.

Safety, trust & environment

All dogs in my care will be rewarded with treats, praise, toys and freedom (the natural rewards) for being good boys and girls. While I am a positive reinforcement based trainer I also used balanced training, as people we all have different needs and physical abilities. Please let me know if you are against any tools or methods, I will NEVER yank, drag, choke or lift a dog on their training collar or leash. I am familiar with head collars, harnesses, prong collars, choke chains, slips leads, martingales, muzzles, ethically used ecollars and more. If I am uncomfortable handling your dog in the manner you ask me to I will always tell you why I choose to not partake in that style of handling, but rest assured I am very experienced with keeping dogs under threshold and successful on walks. In order to keep safety in the forefront please just be honest to me about your dogs bite history, I am not against walking a dog with a bite history if proper management and safety measures are in place! 🥰

I am a full time trainer with a professional company and have my own dog. I am currently working with service dogs, family dogs, reactive dogs, and off leash dogs. I typically work less than 20 hours a week in the fall and winter and have more availability around holidays. During the spring and summer I typically train more and have more clients and can work upwards of 20 hours a week. Due to the nature of client driven work I have an irregular schedule to most other people. Please inquire about dates you intend to book and I will let you know if I will be available for care at that time.
