Pet care experience
Hello! I have always been a dog lover, and am looking forward to meeting new fur-babies! I currently have two female German Shepards who have each been through multiple obedience classes. I understand the time a dog takes and am willing to put in the time others may not have to help them care for their dogs. I have a very flexible schedule and love teaching dogs new things. Growing up we had several family dogs who each lived to be between the ages of 13-17, so I have learned what it takes to make sure these animals have a long and healthy life. Having two large dogs currently has helped me be able to manage what others might think are stressful situations, such as taking them both on walks, but it has taught me how to be organized in efficient when caring for pets. I am very excited to meet many new puppies and care for them just as if they were my own!

Rachael was excellent! She visited every day during our vacation and took great care of our cats. They are notoriously snooty, but came out to see her as well. Highly recommend!

Rachael is the best! This was our first time using Rover and I was a little nervous to leave our dogs. Rachael made the process so easy and our dogs absolutely loved her! It was such a great experience overall. We will definitely use Rover again and will definitely book Rachael again as well!

Information Rachael S. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know about dogs before sitting them. I would need to know if they are aggressive, potty trained, and about any special diet or allergies I wouldn't know otherwise. I have no breed or weight restrictions when it comes to going to someone's house and checking in or walking their dog, but since I do have two large dogs if any came to my house it would be a better idea if they were at least 40 pounds. Any smaller and I would worry about there being too much of a size difference between pups.
A typical day
I can take dogs on walks in the neighborhood that the dog is familiar with if I am watching them during the day, but if I am watching a dog at my personal house I would walk the dog to the park that is less than two blocks away. This park is a great place for them to run off some energy and get some fresh air. If weather is bad playing fetch down the long hallway is always a great game to bond with the dog. After playing you could expect us to be curled up on the couch while they are chewing a bone or playing with a toy. These are just some of the things we could do, and each dog would determine exactly what things they like best. These plans would be talked about with the owner first to ensure that everything we do together is approved!
