Excited to meet some new dogs!
Pet care experience
Growing up, I had a pet dog that my family and I took care of until she grew old. Then, I entered a relationship that had a pet pitbull, and took care of her until she was of old age and had to be put down due to medical issues. I have worked at two dog boarding facilities. One of them primarily focused on walking the dogs, with one round of playtime during the morning shift. The one I currently work at focuses on playtime, with the dogs that cannot play being walked around the facility. Both places have a high focus on ensuring that each dog is taken care of and enjoys their boarding stay as much as possible. I have handled both puppies and senior dogs. I also have experience of giving dogs medications, such as pills and insulin.
Reviews
Rachael has watched all of my pets (a dog and four cats) on multiple occasions. Not only is she lovely to work with as a pet parent, she is incredibly friendly with my pets. They all look forward to when she comes to visit and take care of them, to the point that even some of my shier pets will pop out and say hi to her. All of my pets are always well cared for, fed, and watered. My puppy loves that she plays with him so much (he will literally bring her every toy he has because he wants to share and play with her). She always communicates with me about when she is checking on my pets and how they were cared for. I even usually get pictures of my pets which is great when I’m away because then I know they’re okay and I get to see them when I miss them.
Rachael helped me take care of my pitbull, Katrina, from around 2017 to the beginning of this year when we had to put her down for medical reasons. Katrina was able to live to the age of 10 in a loving environment, that Rachael facilitated as best as she could. She bought things for Katrina that she thought she would like and she would give Katrina attention all of the time. My own relationship with Katrina had been rocky for a little bit, due to issues in my own life. But Rachael moving in and loving my dog helped me work through my own issues to be able to give Katrina the continuous love she deserves.

No matter where I am, if I am taking care of someone's pet I make sure to keep an eye on them to make sure they do not try to run away or do something to injure themselves. In terms of dog walking, I make sure that the pet remains by my side or right in front of me so that I have control over them, and so that they do not try to run into someone or into the street.

I also love to find mentally stimulating activities for dogs, because I feel that it is fun for everyone involved. I especially love giving the dogs praise after they complete each activity, and seeing their happy faces.

Availability
I work a full-time job at a dog daycare/boarding facility, so I am available in the hours that I do not work there. I am also willing to care for other pets on the same days that I work.
