Pet care experience
I’ve grown up with animals my whole life! I personally have two kitties that I absolutely love and adore! One I’ve had since she was 8 weeks old, the other is a rescue I got when she was older, but they are roughly around the same age and the best of friends. They mean the world to me! When I was going through my undergrad I was granted the opportunity to be the go to friend to pet sitter for all my friends when they needed it. I’ve cared for young pets, elderly pets with medical issues that required daily antibiotics and medications, and everything between. I genuinely love being around animals and caring for them. I’m reliable, time oriented, patient and will treat your fur babies like they’re my own. I know how hard it can be to find someone you trust to care for your pets, that’s why my goal is to always do my absolute best that way you know they are in good hands when you’re away.

My fur kiddos favorite sitter!
Rachel took care of our high-energy Australian cattle dog while we were away, and she did a wonderful job. She was super reliable and responsive, gave us updates every day, and when we got home our pup was relaxed and our house was spotless. Can’t recommend her enough—we’ll definitely be using her again!
Rachael was SO great with my pets! They absolutely loved her. They're so anxious when I leave and we're so calm when I returned from a trip. She provided really great updates that made my heart smile. I will definitely be booking with her again!

I’m very schedule and routine oriented. If your fur baby has specific needs are cans and can’t dos I will follow those. Having pets of my own I understand that safety for your pets is a priority. I have been lucky enough to be the go to pet sitter for my family and friends for 10+ years because I’m reliable and they know that when they leave their pets with me, they will be well taken care of.
Information Rachael H. would like to know about your pet
It important to me that I know your dogs interaction styles with both people and pets. Does he/she do well with other animals? Are they hesitant or excited when approached by others? Are they a pup that barks when excited or only when anxious or upset? I also like to know your fur babies attachment style to you? Are they anxious being left alone and therefore having additional time spent with them is needed? Do they prefer their own quiet time and personal space? Each animal is different, and the more info you can share with me the better I will be able to accommodate their needs and behaviors.
A typical day
I firmly believe that happy pups and cats are ones that have mental stimulation. Playing their favorite games will be on my to do list, as well as walks where they can enjoy the fresh air, interact with other animals (if permitted) and get their zoomies out. Being new to Boston myself, I’m exploring the city by foot and I’m happy to take your pup on a walk for you where we can both learn and discover new areas!

Availability
I an in a masters program at BU for lighting design for live performance. My schedule varies depending on shows that I’m working on, but if I am hired to take care of your pet, I will 100% make sure your pet is cared for! School is my current job so I’m able to schedule the rest of my week as I please! I usually know my schedule pretty far in advance, and depending on the month my availability will vary. I am in classes on campus Mon-Fri when I'm not designing a show. If you book with me, I will have to come and go at times. That being said, 9/10 times I'm able to keep to a pets routine schedule with very few variations.
