Hi! I have always had a passion for working with animals. After attending a veterinary technician program, I realized that I prefer focusing on dog walking and daily pet care at home rather than medical procedures. I started with a few local clients back in 2010 and have been taking new clients on ever since. I now have the opportunity to walk dogs and care for animals daily as my full-time job, and I could not be happier! I specialize in walking dogs of all different breeds, sizes, and ages as well as caring for many other different types of animals (and I'm always willing to learn!). I have regular clients that prefer daily visits, as well as clients that prefer pet care on an as-needed basis (vacations, emergencies, etc.). Rachael has been caring for our older dog for the past 4 years and gladly took on our new puppy a year ago. Rachael is extremely reliable and I look forward to her daily text or photo each time when she visits. This last summer we found ourselves in a bind for boarding while we were on vacation. Rachael stepped in for multiple daily visits and stayed in our home each night. There have been times when I needed to get one of the dogs to a groomer or picked up from daycare and Rachael gladly did it for us. She has been wonderful. Our dogs love Rachael and look forward to her visits.
I love Rachael so much! I have a special needs dog who is deaf, so I was looking for a dog walker/pet sitter who could be gentle and patient with her. Rachael is exactly that! She always sends me updates after each visit, and frequently goes above and beyond to make sure my dog is comfortable before she leaves. I am so grateful to have Rachael in my life!
I first started using Rachael from Pets Made Happy in 2015, after visiting her booth at the Pet Walk in Burr Ridge. She has walked my dog, Marley a few times a week ever since then! He can sometimes be difficult to walk because he gets very anxious when he sees other dogs, but this has never been a problem for Rachael! She is always on time, and is very reliable. I trust her completely!
