I've had dogs in my home and taken care of them since I bought my first home 18 years ago. We have lots of love and patience and time to give to your pet when we are caring for them.

We had our French bulldog, Honey, stay with Rachael and Brian for a week while we were out of town. Rachael was very responsive from the time we initiated the booking, through Honey’s entire stay. Their dog is friendly and welcomed Honey no problem. They have a dog loving household and provided Honey w/ a great staycation while we were gone.

We are offering in our home care for sociable dogs. If you have a dog who loves just being around people and is fine with other animals and wouldn't like to be kenneled alone then our home offers great alternative where they can have all the creature comforts of home and lots of company. We have one rescued female 4 year old lab/german shepherd mixed breed who is very friendly and accommodating and a 2 year old cat that is used to dogs (but will hide around new dogs and people). We have teen kids who love animals and find visiting dogs very special and heap lots of love on them. We do not have a fenced in yard, but do have a lovely dog park 1/4 mile from us that we walk to daily and lot of paths and beaches we walk the dogs on daily. Our home has space to accommodate guest animals comfortably and they are welcome to make themselves at home on couches and beds. Our dog is not crated when we leave, but we do have a crate in the house if your dog likes to be crated or appreciates down time.

It would be good to know if your dog has any likes or dislikes about petting or games they like to play. We love dogs of all breeds and sizes.
A typical day
We love to take long walks and hikes on the henry Hudson trail or in Hartshorne park. Catch and tug of war and chew toys are additional fun times. We like to follow it up with some good snuggles on the couch.

Availability
I work from home part of the time and my partner is home full time. I walk and feed the dogs in the morning and then he does the noon walk and then one or both of us does the walk and feeding at the end of the work day plus a right before bed walk. The afternoon and evening is full of lots of snuggles and play with us and the teenagers (who find having extra dogs visiting as a big treat and love to play and pet the dog as well).
