It’s a Pup Camp Sleep Over Party 🎉
Pet care experience
Dogs and cats have played an integral part of my entire life. I grew up in the military, so pets have played a huge role our lives. My first dog, as an adult, was a lab named Buddy. He was my life as I had no family here. Buddy was ill early on & diagnosed with CHF at the age of 2. The heart specialist said I would be lucky to have him at 9. Well, we did not accept that and he lived a full fledge “Marley & Me” life well beyond his given life expectancy. He never skipped a beat or missed an opportunity to steal food. At 11, he was diagnosed with diabetes; no doubt from years of stolen fresh cooked food off the counter, behind closed doors, purses, & other “out of reach” places. I learned all about going above and beyond, outside the box thinking to resolve issues, the importance of diligence, giving meds, and feeding quality food/treats to ensure he stayed a rotten to the core lab 😉! I routinely gave him vitamins, pills, and insulin shots so your pup can expect to have the same quality care no matter how easy or detailed it needs be for a safe and fun time at pup camp.
Reviews
Rachel had watched one or more of my dogs 4 times now. Most recently, my bratty 2 year old Rottweiler. Rachel and partner were great from the beginning! No fear of my dog, didn’t rush her, even informed me some things that I didn’t know. Rachel always sends pictures throughout. My baby had such a good time and was worn out at pick-up.
Like cut always comes home happy and exhausted. When we pulled in the driveway yesterday, Lucy started barking and wagging her tail which I take as a sincere compliment
Rachael took great care of my GSD for a week while I recovered from surgery. The updates and great pictures made me smile each day. Thank you Rachael and Pat for taking such good care of my Tony.
I'm thrilled to provide a glowing review for my dog sitter. If you’re nervous about finding someone to. Watch your fur baby, look no further! I’m so fortunate to have found Rachel to take care of my very hyper Labrador. . Sadie can barely contain her excitement the moment we turn onto her street. Would highly recommend her if you’re in need of a trusted and professional sitter. Her excellent communication skills gives me peace of mind. She has extensive knowledge about dogs which is reflected in her care, and also helping me with more effect tips for train my dog. I love receiving pictures and updates throughout the day while I’m at work ❤️

Boarding Dogs: Currently, I have a 8’ fenced in dog pen & a 2nd smaller area we just finished as an extra pen with a dog pool and/or use for elderly dogs who love the outside, but don’t want to deal with the puppies. We do keep all sort of dogs, so it really comes down to the dog and their needs. Some we walk in the neighborhood or visit local parks (usually Cherokee & Farnsley). Some dogs enjoy the little water park @ Farnsley while others binge tv. The good dogs, Pat might take to Lowe’s or a farm he works at from to time (so mention if you don't want your dog leaving); whatever suits their need I am happy to accommodate, within reason. We treat them all like our own. As stated above, we never shut down during Covid. We cater to hospital workers, mainly in the ER and would not think of saying “no” realizing what might happen during those tough times. We just figured out how to keep each dog safe and satisfied based on individual needs when we ended up with puppy 🐶 parties. The next saga occurred when everything opened up & clients started getting Covid 🤦♀️😷 which all created additional dogs at the last minute. Opening up created other recurring sagas like airplane ✈️ cancellations 🤦♀️ and did not want to call Rover and simply send a pup to another Rover. I just invested in my business to figure it out and have remained as flexible to all needing it, just an FYI. Now it’s second nature and my clients love ❤️ the experience! We do have a variety of high energy dogs, nervous nellies, and some with special needs. We keep all sizes and ages. The trials and tribulations of Covid brought the bulk of my pups together a lot so they all know each other very well. Pat (life partner) helps me with puppy parties and late nights. They all really LOVE ❤️ Pat! Hopefully, your pup does not come home too tired, because we have fun here! If your dog doesn’t do well with others, this may not be the best place. Nervous nellies generally come home more confident and better for the experience as long as they are not fear aggressive w/ bully tendancies. We are like one big furry family. Most dogs roam freely in the front part of the house and yard. Some I watch like a hawk, while others won’t have that need. Everyone eats in a crate or a pen to avoid thievery and allergy issues. I have tons of bowls, beds, & crates if needed so you don’t have to bring unless you want. FYI we only crate if they sleep in one normally or won’t stop playing at night or just need a break. We keep crates open as some dogs like privacy & security. Home Stay: If I stay in your home, just let me know the do and don’ts and I am happy to abide. I will still need to leave your home at certain strategic times, but will be there for most of the day and definitely at night. With advanced bookings, it will become a vacation 😉🤣!

Information Rachael B. would like to know about your pet
I do have cats, so if they don’t get along I need to know in advance to get them in the back. I would like to know any behavioral issues or limitations ahead of time. Examples of behavioral issues might be food/bone/toy aggression and separation anxiety are most important. I would also like to know if you do something special to help/deal with that issue. Perhaps you have a technique or special verbiage that might be helpful during the stay. Also I need picture with up to date shots/vaccinations please.
A typical day
I live next to a small community park. There could definitely be walks, fetch, and perhaps a little water fun. The adventure could be at larger parks like Cherokee & Seneca where swimming and hiking have been indulged. I personally never go to dog parks because I have had bad experiences and my house is a dog park ??more often than not! More importantly, the ??at my ? is a place where I know the playmates, monitor the play and know each dog intimately. That said, for pups not interested in play, there is no opposition to binge watching TV and just cohabiting.

While the bulk of my income comes from dogs, I also market CBD online & sell it locally; you can ask if interested as I keep stock in home. Ultimately, this means I control 100% of my available time to be with your pup. We have plenty of dog 🐕 parties 🎉 that grew as a result of Covid, which is another reason I rarely leave the house. Most of my dogs have come for years (prior to Covid) and we never said “no” to medical people (bulk of pup parents) since most were integral parts of Covid (ER, RX, respiratory therapist) help. During the afternoon & late evening, usually 2-3 days a week I leave for about 40 minutes to let 1 dog out for a pharmacist and night nurse. When that occurs, I have Patrick (life partner) or my helper, Donnie, here when I step away just in case & in case someone comes earl for a daycare pickup. It is common to have a minimum of 4 dogs here for daycare 5-6 days a week, so feel free to ask how I make that safe for all dogs during meals and when pups come and go. We have a whole system.
