Pet care experience
I’m Rachael and I’m friendly, reliable and trustworthy. I have my own 2 cockapoos who are my absolute world. I have had them from pups so have experience with puppies. I’ve had cats and dogs growing up and 5 years ago became a dog owner myself which was the best decision. I love dogs, they really are man’s best friend. I work for an agency as a specialist recovery worker with adults with a forensic history resulting in acute mental health diagnosis. With this job I have an enhanced DBS and can choose my own hours so when I’m not working I’ll be able to walk or drop in on your dog and give them all the care and affection you can’t while you’re away from them. I am married and have 2 teenage daughters who might come with me for drop ins and walks and when they’re around your dog will get twice as much love! I will love and look after your pet as if it were my own.

I have a fairly large house with a fenced in garden with 2 friendly dogs to keep your dog company. Your dog will have full access to the house apart from my daughter’s bedroom. If I come to your house I’m happy to stick to your routines with what your dog is used to and obviously give them lots of cuddles. When out on walks I will walk you dog on a long lead to start with until I’m happy with their recall before letting them off. I will only walk your dog with my own so that I know I will be able to have absolute control and give them my attention.

It would be handy to know how your dog is around noisy dogs. One of my dogs can be a bit vocal before he gets to know another dog because he’s nervous so if this may be a problem let me know and I’ll make sure I walk them separately and introduce them slowly. I will also like to know how good their recall is, whether they pull on the lead and whether or not they get on with people and other dogs.
A typical day
I love to walk dogs in lots of different places. They will walk with my own 2 adorable cockapoos. Find lots of smells and do lots of running around (and maybe splashing around if they’re a water baby!) At home we’ll snuggle up on the sofa after a walk and then play some games for some mental stimulation.

Availability
Even though I work full time I work long hours so often have a few days off per week giving me time to look after your pets. And on weekends the rest of the family will be involved to there’ll be a lot more love to go around!
