I had the privilege of working alongside Quitman at my local humane society in Covington, Louisiana providing care for the dogs and cats. While we worked together, Quitman exemplified dedication and devotion to the animals under our care. He continued to show his love of animals daily by tirelessly tending to their needs for affection and comfort while they were housed with us in shelter. He and I had the pleasure of working with some of our shelter's dogs who had previously come from abusive and unloving situations, and while he was with us at Northshore Humane Society he helped countless dogs prepare for life outside of the shelter and is in part the reason we have been successful in adopting out so many animals in our care while he was with us. Quitman has a natural magnetism that draws animals to him that may be wary of most people and I know that if given the opportunity to work with any animal he would excel due to his commitment to their needs.
