Pet care experience
Aside from caring for family pets, I did a fair amount of fostering for the SPCA. My mothers a veterinarian which lead to many opportunities in animal care. Most recently this brought me to a spay/neuter clinic in the Galápagos Islands.

I had the pleasure of spending a week with Quinn as we completed a volunteer trip to benefit the pets of San Cristobal Island, Ecuador. I am a field service veterinary with World Vets a nonprofit that provides veterinary care to underserved parts of the world. As a result, I have the opportunity to observe people as they interact with both pets and their owners. I watched as Quinn cared for a variety of pets when they were coming in for care, the dogs and cats, as well as their owners, were in a vulnerable state as they were trusting a group of volunteers unknown to them with their pet companions. Quinn has a quiet quality of calmness about him and a deep sense of duty to pets. It is obvious through his interactions with both the owners and their pets that he has a love of animals and a reverence for the bond between pets and their humans. Owners were immediately put at ease as Quinns' smile and gentle nature gave them confidence that their pets would be treated with the utmost care while in our field hospital. I highly recommend Quinn to any pet owner who is looking for a gentle, kind soul to care for their furbaby. You would be lucky to have Quinn as your companion's caregiver.
Quinn is as dependable as he is caring. He assigns a high standard of care to the people and animals around him, a skill that he has honed from a lifelong approach bringing him into the company of so many! In knowing and caring for so many different kinds of animals, he can recognize and respond to their uniqueness. He has a wide range of care-based skills from being a volunteer in veterinary service settings, a pet owner, a generous neighbour by inviting other dogs on his long walks, and a trusted friend to hold down the fort when people are away. Quinn has top-notch risk management skills to provide safe care; knowing when to intervene, and how, if something were to go wrong. He is pure empathy - extending himself as a supportive animal friend who keenly observes animal behaviour and needs. He is the sweetest young man brimming with humility (that he probably learned from animals...), and I will always turn to him for pet care.
