My dog's vacay didn't go so well. He was scheduled to be with Natalie for 13 nights, but stayed for only 3 because he was badly bitten by another dog she was watching. Though I don't believe she was directly at fault, I was not immediately notified by Natalie. I found out there was an "incident" through an automated message from DogVacay saying that something happened to my little Charlie. Panicked is NOT how I wanted to feel while I was so far away. Natalie did finally explain the situation, and was able to get the first round of treatments for the wound (which included stitches). I didn't receive any updates before he was bitten. Communication was difficult from the start, and I often had to wait a long time for a response (though after the incident the response times were a little faster). The entire ordeal was incredibly sad and stressful and finding someone else to care for Charlie while I was gone was difficult, to say the least. Natalie is a pleasant and nice person, I'm just disappointed in many elements of Charlie's short stay. I will include that she and DocVacay provided a refund.
