I had a chocolate lab growing up that I adored. Until we get a dog of our own, both me and my husband have decided to help out as many dogs as we can. After we moved to Kansas in May, both of us have volunteered at dog shelters in Mission and Merriam where we have taken dogs out for walks and fostered them for short periods of time at our home as well. We know how important both physical and mental stimulation are, so we strive to take dogs out for walks frequently. While we are both great with dogs, my husband is much better with the more energetic or stronger dogs. We have also helped out friends in the area and in CO and CA by dog sitting/dog walking whenever we visit and they visit. My apartment is generally available for boarding on the weekends. Both of us are free on the weekends and can devote our full time, attention, and energy to your pet. That being said, we will update our availability if and when we are not working during the weekdays. We promise to care for your dog like you would, be available to answer any questions you may have, and to send you multiple updates with photos. With your permission, we will provide dog treats only after you have approved them because we understand how some dogs can have sensitive stomachs. We live in a dog friendly community and have 2 parks less than a mile away where we usually take dogs for walks. We also take dogs out to dog parks in Shawnee and Overland Park but if you would prefer we did not, then we will respect your wishes.
