Pet care experience
I love animals, and volunteered with the shelter Almost Home. On an average shift I was feeding/cleaning up after/playing with/giving medications to a few dozen dogs of all breeds - from tiny chihuahuas to giant mastiffs. Working in rescue I have plenty of experience with nervous dogs and have a pretty good track record of making them feel more at ease with a bit of time (and chicken!)

I cannot have pets in my accommodation as I rent, but am happy to care for your pet in your home however you normally would so their routine is kept as normal as possible. If you would like updates, I'm happy to send as many as you would like for peace of mind and photos of what they're getting up to.

If your pet has a medication schedule or you have other specific medical care instructions, please leave me with either a written or virtual copy of these along with vet contact details. Letting me know of any behavioural quirks would be appreciated too!
A typical day
I'm happy to take your pet out for walks so long as it is on lead (I can provide a slip lead for dogs), and I have some toys for mental stimulation and playtime if needed (e.g. snuffle mat, tug of war rope etc.) Plenty of attention is a given!

I'm a student but from mid May, my schedule is pretty flexible until September and I can walk/play/feed etc whenever necessary, so house sitting and drops ins is ideal for me.
