Pet care experience
I am a new resident in DC and hoping to make some sweet, doggy friends! I grew up with dogs and now living in a rental house I am unable to have my own furry friend. I have a day job so I don't have a ton of time but my motivation for being on Rover is honestly to spend time with lovely dogs. I am an avid runner and like good long walks. I really enjoy the company of dogs for both these activities and that's what I'm really hoping to do here on Rover. Because my main role here is just as a dog lover I am willing to be flexible with pricing and may lower it if that seems right! I have some experience with training dogs and can do my absolute best to continue, reinforce and move forward with whatever training you are working on or would like to start.

Pia is one of my closest friends from college. Two of those college years, I had the pleasure of living with her and also the opportunity take care of one of my dear friend's dog whenever I pleased (which was pretty often I have to admit). Pia loved and cared for the dog whenever we had her come stay with us. My family friend also happens to be a dog breeder, whom had a number of litters during our four years in college. My family friend would often ask me take care of the puppies when they were busy, and Pia would always come with me to help take care of and love the puppies. She is an extremely responsible and dog-loving individual who I'd ask to take care of my dogs in a heartbeat.

I have had rescue dogs who have come from abusive backgrounds and have very specific anxieties and fears. If your dog is a rescue or has specific behavioral needs, that is for the most part ok with me as long as I know and I know what makes it work. I'd also love to know what your dog(s) love, if they get along with other dogs, any favorite places or walks and if they have allergies or specific dietary requirements.
A typical day
I prefer a good long walk and if your dog can go off leash at a dog park, that is definitely what we will do! I love a good game of fetch, chase or even just a roll around in the grass. I am new to the area but I am really hoping to bring furry friends along as I explore parks and other nice dog friendly places.
