Let me love your pet as you do!

Pet care experience

All of these pet care jobs were done at the owners home. Although, overnight care is my preference, I did make an exception to care for this guy daily. They lived less than 7 miles away. I cared for Bichon M-F 12:30-2:30, fed special dietary lunch, gave ear drops, limited treats, walked around home property for potty breaks. Comet was ill & could not be stressed; on several occasions if there were cleaners/handymen coming to the home or if they were gone for many hours in the evening, I stayed with him. His medications caused him to mess on the floor before I got there, which I would mop, sanitize & dry daily. I did 3-day overnight, he slept with me. I cared for him & cousin, Chip several days together. I taught Chip to sit & stay. I stayed at owners home caring for their 3 dogs:Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane & mixed breed for 4 days/nights. Each dog was fed twice daily and had different feeding procedures. Irish Wolfhound had special dietary needs, had to have bowl held for him and fed patiently in 2 parts. Also needed to give him 2 different pills in am/pm. The Great Dane's food had to be watched so the Wolfhound did not eat it. The third dog was fed in a different area with his pill hidden in his food. Treats were given in separate locations. I made sure that all water bowls were always filled. I maintained the yard of their waste each time they were put outside. I swept hair up in kitchen and checked mail. I stayed at owners home from 2-7 days/nights. 2 rescue dogs mixed breeds (high anxiety & 1 dog was afraid of thunder). I fed 2 times daily, 1 needed medications, gave treats, maintained flowing water bowl, put outside & let them sleep with me. I am still happily caring for them, since May 2011. I stayed at owners home overnight for West Highland White Terrier from 1-10 days many times throughout the year for 10 years. I maintained routine, put outside at 6 a.m. & throughout day in dog run. He became diabetic, age 12 causing eye problems, required 2 different medications: drops & rub in ointment. I gave pill and insulin 2 times a day. I followed a special diet. We played a lot of fetch and tummy rubbing. He sadly passed away, age 14 1/2 in 2011. All pets were kept safe and loved as my own. Rate is negotiable.

Phyllis was very loving with Misty. She seems to have a compassionate heart for our furry friends.

I have known Phyllis for the past 20 years and she has taken care of many of my pets throughout those years. This includes cats and dogs. Generally I have had large dogs (Great Danes and Irish wolfhounds), and usually 2-3 dogs at a time. Phyllis is loving and caring towards the pets, she has given medications when they are ill, and coaxed feeding when needed. She is dependable, trustworthy, and my pets have always loved her! Highly recommend!

All 4 of my dogs adore Phyllis; even my dog who was rescued and is really shy. The care Phyllis provides is exceptional. Phyllis is reliable, a good communicator, and I trust her not only with my dogs but my home.

Hello, I am pleased to recommend Phyllis R. for any dog sitter position. She took care of my Westie for many years, the last two years of his life he was diabetic and required a lot more medical care and attention. I was not comfortable leaving him or boarding him with anyone but Phyllis. She loved him and took pride in her work and care of him. She made sure that our vet had permission to talk with her should anything require it while we were gone. And Peppy (our dog), we could tell, he was so happy and comfortable to be with her and left in her care. I love animals and it was important for me to trust someone and know that they cared and loved my pet too. This was Phyllis. This is how she was and is. She was and will always be my first choice with any pet I have. Sincerely, Eleanor A.
