Pet care experience
I am a NYITCOM student with a passion for people, dogs, and coffee! At home I am a proud dog-mom to a wonderful, fun and no doubt energetic German Shepard named Ares. (He's featured in my profile picture!) My fiancé and I got him when he was around 8 weeks old, and now he is growing up fast and is almost three. Back in my hometown, I experienced caring for my childhood dogs into old age. This entailed lots of gentle play, couch cuddles, and the occasional pill stuffed in cheese! Raising, caring for and training Ares and my childhood dogs has allowed me to learn and fine tune the skills and patience one needs to handle dogs from young to old. I will treat your dog like I would treat Ares! That means lots of hugs, fun adventures, and of course the highest quality care I can offer. Hope to see you soon!

I have a fenced in yard for your pet's safety, and my dog Ares to keep your fur baby company! We keep a pet camera in our living room in order to keep an eye on Ares (and your pet) at all times. Additionally, our dog is fully crate trained. If your dog is crate trained as well, you are welcome to bring the crate to our home to be used throughout the stay!

For walking appointments, I would love to know if your dog is friendly with other dogs, or if I should steer clear (ex, cross the street if there is another dog walking our way to avoid any issues). During the meet and greet I would love for a quick run-through of how you walk your dog/different commands they respond to (e.x. Ares is prog collar trained, and needs a "heel" command alongside slight corrections along the way). When visiting the home or stays in my home, I would like to know if your dog has issues with bolting out doors. Your dog's safety and well being is of upmost importance to me! Please let me know if there are certain ways I need to act around doors for little escape artists!
A typical day
Your dog can look forward to walks around your neighborhood or adventures to nearby parks/nature areas! If your dog is staying in my home, they can enjoy playing in the backyard with Ares, or relaxing on the couch with the three of us.

Availability
Being a student I have a relatively concrete schedule. My openings in my calendar will be what fits best for me around classes and lab time. However, if there is a certain time or date you are interested in, please do not hesitate to reach out and we may be able to make an accommodation with enough notice.
