Home is where the dogs are!

Pet care experience

My first job at age 14 was pet sitting! It began small, by sitting neighbors’ and friends’ pets, and then expanding to acquaintances due to my success, responsibility, and genuine love for all animals. This led me to participating in a high school program for Service Animals. I raised and trained a service dog for 2 years, from a puppy to a fully certified dog who was given to a person who needed her. As an adult, I do not yet have a dog of my own yet. I currently live in a large house with my husband and sister-in-law on the far edge of Antioch. We are right next to the hills, with several hiking trails, and a friendly and large neighborhood park! I would love to take your dog on a walk, run, hike, or swim! I am happy to do home visits for both dogs and cats, and have your dogs stay in my home (no cats, unfortunately, as my sister-in-law is allergic).

Phoebe was a pleasure to work with. I think my dog loved her more by the end of the pet sitting :) I highly recommend Phoebe as a pet sitter.

Phoebe did a wonderful job! I was a bit nervous about the stay but Phoebe provided a warm and quiet house for our anxious girl, Abbey. I received updates from her and was so happy to hear Abbey not only ate her food during her stay but also went on her walks and snuggled up with her sitter! We will definitely be contacting Phoebe in the future!

Phoebe took great care of our dogs on short notice while we were away dealing with a family emergency. She was very responsive and willing to work with us to make sure we could do what needed to do. We are so grateful the dogs had Phoebe, and we would definitely book her again!

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and communication are my priorities, as I know the sense of concern dog owners can feel when they are awhile. My goal is to ease this concern and continually share how the pets are doing while I’m watching over them! We have a fenced backyard and live in a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood. My husband and sister-in-law both loves dogs as well, so for boarding needs, there is a house full of love waiting for your dogs!

Information Phoebe C. would like to know about your pet

Please be sure to let me know what your dog loves and their favorite activities, treats, and petting spots! Just as important, let me know what your dog dislikes when it comes to treats, activities, and physical sensitivities. When we first meet up, I will ask you questions like: What is their typical day? Are they food/treat motivated? Do they spend any time off-leash in a park setting? How do they typically interact with other dogs?

A typical day

I prioritize making your dog comfortable and will do whatever possible to continue their at-home habits and training progress! With my experience in training a service dog, I love to encourage positive behaviors while having fun too. Exercise, games, and lots of cuddling or ear scratches! I live very close to our large neighborhood park that is perfect for long walks, runs, frisbees, and getting fresh air!
