*I’m happy to only take one pet family at a time so your shy/anxious pets are very welcome to stay here stress-free!* Hi, I’m Phoebe (they/them)! Currently enjoying a work from home lifestyle which means your pets will probably get sick of me from seeing me so much! (Or it’ll feel like a trip to grandma’s house, full of treats, attention and love!) Being around animals gives me so much joy and helps with my mental health so immensely, in ways that I could never properly express to a pet. Seeing a dog in public always brings a smile to my face, and I just have to (consensually!) say hi! In terms of experience, I’ve lived with dogs and a variety of other pets all my life. I’ve worked with behavioural trainers before to help one of my dogs, where I was able to pick up some tips and tricks that I would love to share with other pet owners with anxious pets.

Phoebe watched our dog for a few hours while we visited some tourist attractions where dogs aren’t allowed. We highly recommend Phoebe’s “daycare” option for other visitors to Vancouver who want to do this. Phoebe is kind and clearly great with dogs :)
Phoebe is fantastic! Our pup is shy with new people but warmed up to Phoebe immediately. Received lots of photo updates and text communication throughout the stay. 10/10 would hire again!
Phoebe is awesome! Took on a last minute/same day request like a super hero and truly saved the day. Pictures sent throughout the day assured us of the pup's contentment who appeared to be having a vacation of her own 😌 I am so very grateful to Phoebe for taking such great care of my grandmother's elderly poodle!!

I'd love to know as much as possible prior to caring for your pet to ensure that they have a great time with me and for everything to go smoothly for both you and your pet. Does your dog have any health concerns? How is your pet around other animals? Children? What makes your pet happy! Treats? Toys? I want to make sure they have the best time with me and I want to know what makes their tails wag! (Or for the dogs without tails out there, what makes their butts shake with joy!)
A typical day
A typical day with your pet depends on what your pet loves to do! If your pet loves to lay around and cuddle all day, I will absolutely be a couch potato. If your pet loves going to the beach to swim, or going to the park to play with other dogs, my running shoes are ready for a day out! I love going on walks near the water and exploring new areas and hidden parks in different neighbourhoods, and dog companions are perfect for these adventures!

Availability
I also have some extra practice with brachycephalic dogs since I have a Frenchie and have taken care of a handful of other flat-faced breeds in the past. I’m aware of the extra precautions that have to be taken with these breeds, and I’m very comfortable with issues that may come up due to it. For boarding, I live with my partner so double the love and care! She is also a Rover sitter and we both absolutely love having dogs at home and have been so excited about finding a pet friendly place! Although we live in an apartment, we have a fenced off dog park within our building, with a large courtyard, and many opportunities to play fetch with other pups in the building! For more anxious furry pals, there are many good walking routes near where I live and I am happy to play off leash fetch during less busy times.
