I offer 24hr dog boarding, day care, animal transportation, pet sitting and advice. I began an Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Managment (uncompleted at present). I've previously worked in children's services. I have 2 rescue greyhounds, Ali 9yr & Fitz 7yrs old, and a rescued Galgo (Spanish greyhound) Geraldine, 4yrs. [On 5/11/2018, after six weeks of deterioration, Angel succumbed to an aggressive cancer, and was put to sleep. On the 27/8/2020, Cal was diagnosed with an aggressive tumour in his right front shoulder that was inoperable and had to be put to sleep at 17.30. Both have left massive holes on our hearts!] Ali loves to play, but can be boisterous, although she's becoming calmer with age. Fitz is a gentle giant, size of a small horse but so gentle!!! Fitz is now a certified PAT (Pets as Therapy) dog, and visits local care homes. Small, nervous dogs/pups may be unsuitable. Geraldine is an ex hunting dog with three legs. Everyone who has met her wants to take her home! I've completed an animal first aid course & I'm an experienced first aider. I live in a small village & have access to long country walks. I specialise in Greyhounds & I'm increasing my experience with other breeds. I advocate non adversarial training for dogs (not punishment led, but positive re-enforcement and behaviour modification). This is a non smoking, child free environment. New guests MUST meet & greet before a booking AT LEAST a week before the booking so the dogs can become acquainted & owners are happy. All dogs MUST be chipped, and neutered, with ID tags. Due to Covid, Alabama Rot and dog theft, NO STRUCTURED 'WALK' IS IMPLIED OR GUARANTEED DURING THE BOOKED PERIOD, HOWEVER THE DOGS WILL RECEIVE ADEQUATE EXCERCISE. I live in a bungalow with a large secure garden & I am able to transport your dogs! Dogs under 2yrs need extra supervision so I (may) charge extra per day for them. Rates can also change depending on circumstances (Xmas, boxing day & New Year holidays are double time). CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR BOOKINGS - PREVIOUS BOARDERS ONLY, NO NEW DOGS. My partner also works from home so is also able to keep an eye on dogs for me, should I need to go out. I have a large fenced garden, two very laid back greyhounds and lots of equipment that I have amassed over the years.
