Pet care experience
On top of having grown up with dogs, my mom is a professional dogwalker. I have assisted her in visits and learned a lot about working with dogs from her! While I am limited in my ability to walk your dogs, I will happily drop in to give your pups/kitties some love, cuddles, treats, a backyard potty break, or whatever else they may need!

Phaedra took great care of our kitties while we were away - one of our kitties is shy around new people and tends to hide, but she was able to coax her out of her shell and earn her trust quickly. Phaedra also sent us detailed updates and pics daily. We would definitely ask Phaedra again if we need a cat sitter!

In my home we have a crate trained dog and two cats (and an Axolotl!). They don’t get along too well, so we do a lot of work in making sure all the animals get enough love and attention. When I come to your home, I’ll see to it that everyone gets their needs met, even if they might be a little different!

Please let me know if your dog/cat needs any medications! I haven’t administered meds to an animal before but if you’re willing to teach me, I’m willing to learn!
A typical day
I love to meet animals where they’re at! Matching energy is important. If a dog is more high energy, they get pets and happy words, if they’re more reserved it’s good to be soft and gentle when approaching. I love playing with dogs, and cats! If a cat isn’t social I won’t force them, but playful snuggly cats will get lots of cuddles and playtime!

Availability
I currently work part time, with most of my shifts being Friday and Saturday nights! I have some weekday shifts here and there, and will absolutely be transparent about whether the day/night requested conflicts with a work shift. It will work out smoothly more often than not.
