I grew up in Virginia on a 500 acre cattle farm, and at the age of 3 was given a yellow lab puppy,"Wahoo," who never left my side for 15 years. Where I went, he went; and where he went, I went. 500 acres is a lot of land, but I think we explored most of it. There are now five dogs living at the farm, where they have free range to all the activity a pup could ask for. Most dogs today are not fortunate enough to be able to freely run and play in such safe, wide-open spaces. Too often our furry friends are cooped up indoors due to busy schedules that keep us away from our animals for the better part of the day; when we do get home, just the thought of taking our pets out for a walk is exhausting. It is hard to fit in time to exercise an animal like we really want to—and that’s where I come in! But I now live here in Pensacola and am in between jobs/taking a sabbatical. Dog-walking would be the perfect job for me because of my love for them as well as the outdoors and exercise. I'm also well equipped to dog sit at my house or yours. I have a nice backyard and excellent walking routes nearby. I am in the medical field and have administered shots of insulin to my moms cat for years so I am comfortable dealing with minor medical issues your dog or cat may have.
