The main ingredient first and foremost in hiring an animal caregiver is to determine if the new hire actually loves animals. Once that is confirmed, it is necessary to determine if the animals respond to the caregiver. I can assure you that Peyton has loved animals from day one and has spent a great deal of time volunteering to care for horses and smaller domestic animals. They seem to all gravitate towards her, some people are gifted that way; her Mom was like that as well, and perhaps that is where she got that gift. The first day she came home from caring for horses, she told us how cool it was cleaning out the stalls in the barn. Strangely enough she was very excited about that :) ...true story. She loves everything about animals, she's grown up with many dogs, and has brought home birds, fish, bunnies, cats, turtles, and ducks. By the way, bringing home a turtle in Colorado is not an easy thing to do; you have to go through an arduous approval process. Now she is studying to become a mammal trainer. In short, you couldn't have a better person caring for your animal than Peyton.
