Dogs Rule Here! We have 3 rescue dachshunds (and regularly foster through Luv-A-Pet), and they seem rule how the household is setup.... The yard has a double fence to foil the escape artist type pup, a ramp to get on the bed, a pool to splash around in, and even a designated digging hole. The back yard is also not treated with herbicides or pesticides. I started this service after I needed a sitter for my dogs when going out of town. I made several visits with prospective places before I found a sitter/location where I would be comfortable leaving my pups. Many of them just didn't seem safe and/or suitable for our little family members. Knowing that I have a safe, clean, and fun place for dogs, I'd welcome other furry visitors when their people members have to go away for a while. It is important to understand that the majority of our guests are under 25 lbs. and less than 15" tall, for their comfort / anxiety, I'm not able to accept large and/or aggressive breeds. So basically.... if your dog can see on top the kitchen counters.... that's probably too big. :) My little guy Olaf was diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral disk disease) in October and required emergency neurosurgery on his spine. He is still going through a lot of therapy to regain his ability to walk and has made significant progress. Your dogs will have lots of fun and playtime when staying with us. Also, rest assured we'll be happy to send you regular updates with pics of your furry family members enjoying their stay. All dogs must be up to date with flea/tick/heartworm treatments and be social with other dogs.
