Pet care experience
My partner and I are highly experienced and caring pet sitters from Canada and Ireland, respectively. I grew up with a dog in the family (King Charles Spaniel) and was its primary care taker/trainer. We have been living in Berlin for 7 years and while we do not currently have our own pet, we are always keen to look after friends' dogs/cats whenever we get the chance. We have looked after dogs of all sizes as well as dogs with separation anxiety. Our apartment is right next to Plänterwald so it is our greatest joy to spend long walks exploring the forest with a dog. While we have more experience pet sitting dogs, we have also taken care of several cats over our life times and enjoy their companionship. We are both highly organized and attentive and ready to attend to any special needs/preferences. Above all, our priority to make sure your pet is comfortable in their time away from you/their regular homes.

Peter took very good care of Souffle during the weekend, he was very happy and at ease. Peter proposed a first meeting beforehand to make Souffle feel comfortable during his stay and that was very helpful. He also sent us updates every day. We are so lucky to have found Pete and Martina! Our dog is susceptible and cautious with people she doesn't know, so we first met a couple of times altogether for her to get used to them. Then we left her at their place for a day and it went beyond great, Dea was super comfortable and relaxed, and Pete was always available to give updates and send pictures. We will definitely repeat!
They gave both my pups the utmost exquisite care! They followed up multiple times a day! I would recommend them and use their services again!

We live on the first floor of an apartment building and have plenty of indoor space (95 m2) for your pet to feel comfortable. As already mentioned, Plänterwald is right around the corner so it feels like our backyard. We have two safe balconies which each get around 4 hours of sun per day. Our building and area is quiet, safe and neighborly. There are plenty of other dogs in the building. Our primary aim when welcoming a new pet is to build trust with the animal and avoid any unnecessary confusion for them. Establishing clear communication is a priority. We are also willing to take care of your pet in your own home if that is preferred.

Availability
I work from home which means I am available to take your dog for walk before work, once on my lunch break and anytime after work. My partner is keen to get into the forest for a longer walk in the evenings as well as on weekends. We are both very outdoorsy people and for the most part prefer a serene nature-exploration in Berlin's parks/Brandenburg over a social party weekend in Berlin. Overall, we enjoy the regularity and ritual of daily walks which is conducive for pet care.
