Hi! I'm Pete, and I am a highly experienced dog/pet-sitter from Ireland and have been living in Berlin for the last 6 years. I grew up with a dog in my family (King Charles Spaniel) and was its primary care taker/trainer, and since leaving home at 18, I have been routinely looking after dogs through friends, family and recommendations. I have looked after dogs of all sizes as well as dogs with separation anxiety. Through my experience looking after many different breeds/sizes etc I've developed a lot of knowledge and training techniques that can help make your dog's stay as comfortable as possible. In general, but especially when pet-sitting I am highly organized and attentive and ready to attend to any special needs/preferences. Above all, my priority is to make sure your pet is comfortable in their time away from you/their regular homes and to ensure you are updated regularly during their stay.

Peter proposed a first meeting beforehand to make Souffle feel comfortable during his stay and that was very helpful. He also sent us updates every day. We are so lucky to have found Pete and Martina! Our dog is susceptible and cautious with people she doesn't know, so we first met a couple of times altogether for her to get used to them. Then we left her at their place for a day and it went beyond great, Dea was super comfortable and relaxed, and Pete was always available to give updates and send pictures. We will definitely repeat!
They gave both my pups the utmost exquisite care! They followed up multiple times a day! I would recommend them and use their services again!
Peter and Martina will treat your pet like a member of their family. Dogs understand people and Freckles our King Charles Spaniel loves them. They are definitely our go to people, so responsible, caring and kind true dog lovers. I have no hesitation in recommending them..

I live on the first floor of an apartment building and have plenty of indoor space (95 m2) for your pet to feel comfortable. As already mentioned, Plänterwald is right around the corner so it feels like my backyard. I have two safe balconies which each get around 4 hours of sun per day. Our building and area is quiet, safe and neighborly. There are plenty of other dogs in the building. My primary aim when welcoming a new pet is to build trust with the animal and avoid any unnecessary confusion for them. Establishing clear communication is a priority. I am also willing to take care of your pet in your own home if that is preferred.

Availability
I work from home which means I am available to take your dog for walk before work, once on my lunch break and anytime after work. I am a very outdoorsy person and for the most part prefer a serene nature-exploration in Berlin's parks/Brandenburg over a social party weekend in Berlin. Overall, I enjoy the regularity and ritual of daily walks which is conducive for pet care.
