Pet care experience
Hi there, Pete here. I'm an experienced 'all my life’ dog owner. On February 27th, 2019, I put down my 4th dog, an 11 year old adopted rescue dog that I had medicated twice a day for four years with insulin (that's over 2,920 injections.) I'm a compassionate dog lover and I'm great at feeding, socializing, playing with and even medicating your dog(s) with injections or pills if you need that handled. Please make sure to kindly take note that my overnight rate does cover all aspects of your dog's care (feeding, walking, playing, house sitting) during the hours of 6:00 pm - 7:30 am. Outside of those evening hours, you'll pay for any additional drop-in dog visits (each drop in is a full 30 minutes) with or without a meal and/or any additional walks (each walk is a full 30 minutes) that you wish for me to make during the daytime hours between 7:30 am through 6:00 pm. After 6:00pm the overnight rate handles everything. Contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I'm always an advocate for the meet and greet to make an initial visit with you and your dog(s) for no charge so you can be certain the chemistry is there and that you feel completely comfortable with me caring for your dog(s). I look forward to the opportunity to provide you with impeccable and punctual service.

We feel so lucky to have found Peter. We didn’t worry about our dog or our house for one second. Peter is responsible, caring and awesome. Our house was cleaner than when we left and Kelbi was so happy when we saw her on return. Our dog misses him already. Thank you Peter! You are awesome! ❤️
Peter isn't just a dog person, he's THE dog person. I've only met a few people who have loved dogs as much as he does. As a pet owner, I'm so excited that someone like Peter is joining Rover because he's the type of person you want looking after your pets. He's extremely caring, thorough, and responsible. With his late dog Jake for example, because Jake had diabetes that caused his blindness, Peter was his around-the-clock caretaker and cheerleader, giving him medicine multiple times a day and the love and support any dog would be lucky to have. Having a stranger care for your dog can be sensitive because they're family, but you can be assured that Peter will care for him/her like they're his own. He's simply the best.
Peter is one of the most wonderful, caring people I've ever met. The way he loved and cared for his dog Jake has been inspiring to many of us. He is sweet, understanding, incredibly patient, and highly intuitive, which is a great trait when it comes to bonding with dogs that come from mixed backgrounds. He has so much love to give and helping dogs who need it is the most perfect fit for him.
Peter is a warm and loving person with a kindness for all living things. He faithfully cared for his own dog with diabetes for many years, and is currently a volunteer dog walker at local no-kill shelters. Always thorough and even more giving of himself and his time, he will successfully give your pets the love and kind hearted attention they deserve. I can't recommend him enough.

I prefer small dogs under 20 lbs as I am only 5'8" and 150 lbs. That said, I do know how to handle breeds upwards of 50lbs. I find joy in all dogs, but especially in Miniature Pinchers.
