Pet care experience
As a lifelong dog enthusiast, you can almost always find me with my dogs. From an extremely young age, animals became my best friends and I quickly realized my enthusiasm for respecting, caring for, and enriching the lives of all species of animals. As a veterinary assistant, former service dog trainer for Custom Canines Service Dog Academy, former Animal Specialist in Training at Cub Creek Science Camp, and staff member at Port Cities Animal Hospital I have the incredible opportunity to deepen my love for animals while earning from experts in their field and gaining priceless experience with a large number of species. Some of my skills include the ability to lift 50lbs, administering medication, preparing special diets for your pet, providing enrichment, veterinary experience in dog first aid and CPR, potty training, basic grooming, and advanced dog training. For many years I have cared for the pets of many family and friends, as well as caring for a variety of animals at my jobs and raising/training service dogs.
Reviews
Payton took great care of Snickers, she was on time and consistent each day.
There is no one I would trust more than Payton to care for my dog!! She has a huge heart for animals and cares for each one as if they were her own. Over the past six years that I've known Payton, I've seen her work with many animals (both pets and wildlife) - even pouring her heart into the hard work and dedication of training several service dogs. She amazes me with her knowledge of training techniques, nutrition tips, and ways to engage your pet. And, did I mention she has a huge heart for animals?
Payton is the best dog owner I've ever met. She has been training service dogs for several years and before that she was always one of the most involved dog people I've ever met. She has a natural way with dogs, and they always seem to love her. Payton will always go the extra mile to make sure her canine friends are happy and well taken care of!
I have a 12-week old Cavapoo puppy and needed to spend 7 hours away from home. Peyton came halfway through and spent an hour feeding and then playing with my new baby. I was nervous about leaving her alone so soon but everything worked out great! Peyton sent pictures and reports throughout. I will definitely be coming back! The entire Rover process — from booking to Communication to payment — was very easy. Thanks, Peyton!

For me, dogs are more than just pets, they’re our family. Your four-legged kiddo deserves to be treated with respect and my attention to detail, deep love for animals, and drive to be the best dog mom out there ensures your pet will be well taken care of. My experience as a veterinary assistant sets me apart, and my passion for enrichment and maintaining mental health in dogs is unique. I would be thrilled to work with you in determining what works best for your dog, and can add on additional services such as play, enrichment, or training to further pamper them during their time with me.
Information Payton P. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has an behavioral quirks, special needs, favorite activities, snacks they love…I want to know! I want to ensure your pet is not only well cared for, but comfortable and relaxed while you’re away. Limiting stress is of upmost importance to me, so the more information you can provide me with the better.
A typical day
Mental enrichment is a huge contributor to a pet’s wellbeing, and something I focus on during my visits. Whether it’s going for a decompression walk, providing a stuffed KONG, or doing a quick training session I want to make sure your dog has a way to release some stress and stay busy. Diet is also something I’m very passionate about! I am an experienced raw feeder and am willing to accommodate a variety of diets.
