My first job caring for pets was sitting for friends and family growing up. From there on I got hired to work at a dog daycare right when I turned 16 and I worked there for the next 3 years through high school. At this job, I learned how to medicate and feed dogs as well as develop my skills with grooming and nail trims too. I worked closely with the dog trainer to develop my own knowledge of animal behavior so that I could better watch the 25 dogs under my care. My freshman year of college I started off with a new job working as vet tech at a veterinary hospital. It was here that I further developed my ability to care for animals with specific needs and monitor pets for any signs of illness or injury while simultaneously working towards a degree in Animal Science/Pre Veterinary medicine.
